We are Harry & Suzanne Fokkens, we live with our two children in Oosterwolde. 
This is a small town in south east Friesland in the Netherlands.

At the end of 2004 we welcomed our first bullmastiff, Bacchus, in our lives. 
Bacchus character has made us fall in love with this breed. 
He is very tolerant and easy going in his relationship with children and adults.
Despite his easy going character Bacchus will defend his territory and is without a doubt the alpha dog in our house.

In 2007 we welcomed Noa, a bitch, to our home. She needed rehoming after comming back to her breeder. we fell instantly in love with her the first time we saw her. 
Noa's character is quite the opposite of Bacchus. 
She is very present and definitely has a opinion, but is golden with humans and other animals.

We have both been given the love for animals, and especially dogs, from our parents. 
Our passion for dogs makes it special for us to be able to breed bullmastiffs.
after being contaminated with the bully-virus we decided to start our own kennel.
We started to deepen our knowledge of the breed, visited many shows and spoke with many breeders. Just  to gather more and more information about the bullmastiff, bloodlines, type and breeding. 
At this time we met Marijn and Debby from The Nightshifts Bullmastiffs and they became very important to us. They shared their information and experiences with bulmastiffs with us. 
For this we are very grateful.

Due to our good relationship with Marijn and Debby they decided to import a bullyboy, James, from Scotland and let him live with us.

In january 2008 we brought our second girl to our kennel, Senne came to us from The Nightshifts.
At the same time our kennelname, Bulls of Bacchus, was approved by the Dutch Kennel Club and the FCI. In honour of Bacchus, our first bullmastiff, we chose this name.

We look forward to the future where we will occasionly breed a litter. Our aim is to produce healthy, beautiful bullmastiffs that have a social character.

All of our dogs are regularly checked by our vet, the dogs we will use for breeding will be officially hip- and elbow scored. 

All of our breeding dogs will have a approval certificate for breeding from the BMCN before being entered in our breeding program.
We are members of the BMCN, Dutch Bullmastiff Club, and breed according to their breeding rules and regulations.

We hope that we have given you a impression of how we live with our dogs.
